The Master Series Part VII: Nature’s Wrath

The center cannot hold.  Fire rains from the sky, the earth breaks, and oceans boil.  The very heavens cry, and the ambitions of man come to an end.

Time for another Master Series installment–Nature’s Wrath: brett triple IPA.  This huge IPA is finished off with brett brux and Galaxy hops for an incredibly flavorful finish.  Munich malt contrasts nicely with wild brett flavors and provides the backbone for the beer.

The recipe for this beer requires some special explanation.  First, there are no flavor hop additions because this beer needs a three month period to fully condition before dry hopping.  During that period, any late-boil hops would have faded away, making their addition pointless.  The two yeast additions are not added at the same time.  First, the American ale yeast is pitched.  When airlock activity starts to slow, a large addition of brett brux is pitched to finish the beer off.
